Should I get laser eye surgery?
I have 22 years of age, with an eye-1.25D and-1.5D in the other eye. Until now live with blurred vision, putting on my glasses from time to time when driving or reading the blackboard at school. I was thinking of wavefront-guided PRK, which seems less intrusive to the eye compared LASIK. In the eye of PRK seems to heal back to its natural structure (with the epithelial layers, etc.). You have several questions. First, without the eye does not heal back to its normal structure with PRK. However, does little. Fourth, dry op position is a common side effect that is independent of the degree of correction. For most, however, this dryness is temporary. I have seen some patients, however, had pre op dry and disabling lifelong development dryness after surgery. If you do not have no contraindications such factors as large pupil size, dryness, ocular or systemic diseases, thin corneas, etc. that really sound like a pretty good candidate.
