I tried contacts but I would have had to get toric (weighted) lenses. They would be clear and then be blurry if I blinked or moved my head. I didn't like it. All in all, glasses are probably the more cost efficient solution. I had my glasses for about 8 years before I needed to change them, and it was only about $250 for another pair.
