Syracuse Lasik
They told me I have to go to Canada for Lasik, I have a high astigmatism, is it safe?
I went to a Canadian company that has an office Syracuse, NY. They told me that my astigmatism is so high that the FDA has not approved LASIK for the recipe but in the U.S.. However, they said that I can drive one of their places of Canada, and have done there, since Canada has approved Lasik surgery for double the recipe. My family is very tired of me doing This, I must have something to worry about?
I check out this site www.asklasikdocs.com. There are excellent on this site opthamologists who specialize in surgery laser. You can post a question and who will deal with you again! His usual IntraLase (Blade Free LASIK) made six months ago and I am satisfied with the results. You really have to do your research on the elective surgery and ensure you find a highly respected surgeon in the field who has performed thousands of operations. Good luck:) PS My surgery was performed in Canada.

Personally I’d rather not risk anything when it comes to that kind of surgery. If the doctor told you not to used eye make up, it’s probably for good reason.

Glasses have worked well for me. I tried contacts but I would have had to get toric (weighted) lenses. They would be clear and then be blurry if I blinked or moved my head. I didn’t like it. All in all, glasses are probably the more cost efficient solution. I had my glasses for about 8 years before I needed to change them, and it was only about $250 for another pair. Lasik might be nice, but I just don’t see the cost-effectiveness of it.
