Learn Selkin

"I recently had Lasik surgery performed by Dr. Robert Selkin. At first I was skeptical of the procedure and wanted to be very targeted in the doctor who performed it. After meeting with Dr. Selkin, I agreed to undergo this procedure. Now I see better than I've ever seen and can now wake up in the morning and see my alarm clock. Dr. Selkin and his staff have been wonderful through this experience and are true professionals. The procedure itself is not really fun but the results I have achieved and treatment by Dr. Selkin and his staff has been wonderful. I would recommend to anyone considering Dr. Selkin Lasik. "

"I've worn glasses since the age of five, so the only thing I ever wanted to change me, not my height, weight, or complexion, but my vision. I have known for years that I was a candidate for Lasik, but cost $ 4,000 rule it out. Selkin gave me the affordable alternative than they have been looking for. For less than half the cost of other procedures, not only I had my vision corrected, but also cure dry eyes associated with fibromyalgia through a simple procedure through tear, done at the same time my Lasik. I am eternally grateful to Selkin Laser Center for making this possible for me. "

"Having the eye Lasik surgery has been like a dream come true. When I realized I could read without glasses could not help but mourn. I am so grateful for what Dr. Selkin has done for me. Everyone was so nice and supportive throughout. "

"My experience with the Selkin Laser Center was wonderful. The doctors and assistants were very helpful and pleasant. Dr. Selkin did a wonderful job, he spoke to me through the surgery and made me feel comfortable. I 20/1000 on the surgery and came out with 20/20. Could not be happier. "

At first there will be a little problem with glare. The procedure is pretty standard these days and you should ask the provider for the info packet. This will list all side effects(there aren’t many) and problems with the procedure (there aren’t many here either). You should be seeing perfectly within a month. You will see pretty good right away. Dryness will be the major problem but they give you drops for this. We did it in Montreal. They have the best doctors and state of the art equipment. You know, of course, they can only fix eyes that are near sighted and you may need reading glasses soon after the procedure. If you are a candidate, it is well worth the effort.

Yes you can. As long as you eyesight can be corrected to 20/20 vision you will be fine.

I enquired about it with my opticion and she said that if I have it done, I’ll need reading glasses when I get older. My vision also has to be stable for at least two years for me to qualify for surgery but my eyes are still changing at 23 so I can’t have it done. I’d prefer to remain near-sighted as that is what I’m used to.

The price varies according to the technology (custom or "standard") as well as the after care. Many places that offer those lower rates are not including any of the followup whereas my facility all followup for a year is included in that price so it is a little higher. We are at 1500 an eye
