Lasik While Nursing

Am I a good candidate for Lasik?

General Risks and Complications
Studies show that satisfaction rates for LASIK surgery are high. 98% of patients in LASIK vision report excellent 12 months after surgery. However, LASIK is surgery and, as with any surgery, LASIK carries some risks, including:
· Glare, halos, or double vision, light worse at night or in low
• Low-or over-correction
· Severe dry eyes. Surgery may reduce temporarily or permanently tear production, causing discomfort and quality of vision
· Individuals with large pupils or corneas thin do not have good results
• It is possible that still require glasses, reading glasses or contacts, regardless of the best surgical outcome
Understanding Monovision
Monovision Presbyopia is the correct one eye for distance vision and the other eye for near vision. Certain individuals may not tolerate monovision, others run quite well. Most monovision patients still need glasses or contact lenses when driving or reading small print to help the two eyes are alike.

Was there any mention of PRK surgery? For patients that are not Lasik candidates due to corneal tissue or the like are often candidates for the PRK procedure.
