I had -11 and got it done several years ago. for me this was a mistake, as I now have permanent retinal damage and legally blind in one eye. I read somewhere that the limit now is -8, although some will do it up to -12.

It cost me $1000 total, and that was 4 1/2 years ago. My vision went from 20/400 to 20/20 in two minutes and I’ve had no real problems since. Getting LASIK was one of the best things I’ve ever done.
