Lasik 20 10 Vision

How I can be a pilot in the Air Force?
I wanted to be a pilot all my life. I am Canadian and I would join our air force, but I can not because I wear glasses. My vision is 20/60 corrected to 20/10. I heard that the USAF allows up to 20/70 and even if they do not, I learned that also allow LASIK / PRK in some cases. I am currently working towards my B. Eng in Environmental Engineering. I am certified in scuba diving (I doubt that matters ..) and I am planning to take an accelerated program aviation for me to get my commercial pilot license in 16 months. Does anyone know if is possible for me to become a U.S. citizen and enter into force air? I was looking at the OTS but I really do not know the system well. I'm thinking about talking to a recruiter in the year to find out. Please any advice would be much appreciated. I know that the odds are definitely against me, but I have to try. I can not even go to an air show without getting skin hen. Thank you for your help.
Since they are already at a university, you have almost no chance. You would have to emigrate and then wait 5 years for citizenship. Along with completing a year univ grade 4. This, by the time he was 28 years. The age factor and the time expected to gain citizenship are what prevent him. People seem to think that there are soldiers take any immigrant, that's not true. Only legal permanent resident aliens (green card holders) May enlist in jobs that do not require a security clearance. You may not reenlist until they are citizens. But all officials must be citizens before enlisting.

My best friend had lasik about 3 years ago. She could see fine the next day. Her doctor just told her to be sure to rest her eyes frequently at work (she worked at a computer all day) and to wear sunglasses whenever she went outside for a month, even if it wasnt very sunny. She healed fine, no complaints, and still sees perfectly!!

Yep, had it done last year. I just wish I hadn’t waited so long to do it. It goes pretty fast. They only advice is that the old saying " you get what you pay for" is true when it comes to this surgery. Check out your dr. throughly first… don’t choose based on price. Good luck, you won’t regret it.
