Tears are made from the upper lid and drain through the lower. If you stop the drainage then tears will stay for the needed amount of time. I had custom intralase (Blade free lasik)done six months ago and I am pleased with the results. You really have to do your research about this elective surgery and ensure you find a well respected surgeon in the field who has performed thousands of operations.
